CREATIVE SOUL RECORDS ARTIST LESLIE MCKEE RELEASES NEW SINGLE

‘What You’re Made Of’ from New Album Earning Rave Reviews

May 31, 2017 (Springdale, Ark.) – Creative Soul Records artist Leslie McKee is set to release a new single today when “What You’re Made Of” goes for adds at Christian INSPO and Christian AC radio. The song, produced by internationally-acclaimed producer Eric Copeland, was written by hit songwriters Molly Reed, Jeff Pardo, Justin Ebach, and Robbie Earle. The single is off McKee’s new album, which is garnering rave reviews, titled “Another Mile.”

JesusFreakHideout.com, which compared McKee to Francesca Battistelli, said: “Leslie McKee’s faith and love for Jesus really shines through in her music, and ‘Another Mile’ is the latest example of her desire to share this with others. It’s an album that could hold its own against some of the bigger names in the CCM world, and those looking for some encouragement would do well to pick up a copy.”

McKee has shared a message of redemption, restoration, and relationship woven through songs and stories from her heart and life since releasing her debut EP, “True to You” on Creative Soul Records in 2009. Her single, “What Love Looks Like”, was produced by Grammy and Dove Award-winning producer Phil Naish, and was included on the 2013 “We Are Creative Soul” project celebrating the 15th anniversary of Creative Soul Records. In December 2016, McKee released a Christmas single titled “Jesus Born on This Day,” which is also included on another Creative Soul Records compilation project, “Timeless Christmas.”

On “Another Mile,” McKee has partnered with Copeland and some of Nashville’s finest musicians, producers, and writers on a project that delivers a mix of pop-infused tunes and powerful ballads.

“’Another Mile’ is the culmination of the many miles traveled to work on this project and the many places my heart has journeyed over the past few years,” McKee said. “My desire is that my life experiences will be used as a platform to shine the light of Jesus into the dark places…that the songs on this album will offer hope to the broken in spirit and will encourage those who are weary to keep holding on.”

While McKee reveals a whole new side to herself artistically on the new album, what hasn’t changed is her desire to share the love of Jesus with those around her. She doesn’t shy away from talking about real life and hopes that by doing so, others will know they are not alone in their struggles.

“Life has a way of coming at us, sometimes good, and sometimes hard,” she said. “In those hard times, it may take all we have to get up in the morning and will ourselves to breathe. We need something or someone to hold on to, and that something is hope and is found in the person of Jesus Christ. There have been many times when I’ve felt like giving up, but I’ve come out on the other side alive and full of hope. I want to be able to encourage others to hold on!”

In addition to having an active concert ministry, McKee is a respected worship leader. She has served in church music ministry in different capacities for more than 25 years and has focused on worship leadership for the past 15 years. Her passion and sensitivity to the Spirit are evident through the worship times she plans and leads.

McKee is currently touring throughout Pennsylvania this summer in support of the new music.

SINGER/SONGWRITER MICHAEL EDMONDS RELEASES NEW SINGLE

‘Heal the Land’ Goes for Adds Today at Christian Radio

May 24, 2017 (Springdale, Ark.) – “Heal the Land”, written and produced by Michael Edmonds, goes for adds today to Christian INSPO/Soft AC and AC Christian radio. Jason Hutchins of Element Room Productions engineered the project. An afternoon spent watching his young daughter play amid a group of culturally-diverse children resulted in Edmond’s new single which asks God to heal the racial tension that plagues our society.

“One afternoon, I was watching my daughter, Heavenly, play at the park with kids of different backgrounds and colors,” Edmonds said. “It occurred to me that although there is a lot of racial tension in America, children naturally like one another and just want to play together. Until they are taught differently by the words or actions of others, children just want to get along. ‘Heal the Land’ is my prayer that all of us will be examples of love and unity to children, because they who are the next generation are watching us.”

Edmonds, who has been in music ministry as a singer/songwriter for more than 20 years, has a focused vision for his calling: draw the lost to a forgiving God by exalting the name of Jesus and be a reflection of His love and compassion. A native of Queens, N.Y., he overcame the challenge of being raised by parents who were addicted to drugs and his mother dying of AIDS at the age of 28 to pursue a music career. Although he started out in the secular music industry, Edmonds felt called to sing for the Lord, a path that has taken him to the stage of the legendary Apollo Theater. He also has appeared on numerous local and national TV and radio shows, won multiple national music awards and released a Top 5 single, “Overcome the World.”

Edmonds, who signed with McLaughlin Music Group International for management this month, recently appeared on Cornerstone TV Network’s “Real Life 360” and is scheduled to appear on “Friends & Neighbors” in Atlanta Live Studios on May 25th which will be seen nationally on the NRB Network and several other broadcast stations.

In addition to being a recording artist, Edmonds serves at New Life Christian Fellowship in Goose Creek, S.C. He and his wife, Krissy, have one daughter, Heavenly.

JO D LEAVES BASEBALL TO CARE FOR SICK MOM, REDISCOVERS MUSIC

New single ‘This Time is For You’ Goes for Adds to Christian Radio Today

April 27, 2017 (Springdale, Ark.) – Christian singer Jo D was solidly on the path to fulfilling his dream to be a professional baseball player when his mother’s breast cancer diagnosis resulted in him leaving college – and baseball – to care for her. What happened in the subsequent years resulted in the young man feeling a call to music ministry.

Jo D, who is now one of the worship leaders at Calvary Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida, is set to release his single, “This Time is For You” to Christian AC and Christian CHR radio today.

Jo D (nee Jody Finch) wrote the single, which incorporates pop and R&B influences. Big Hack produced the project.

Jo D had discovered music and singing as a child, a passion he shared with his mother. Because he was too shy to sing in public, Jo D focused on his love of baseball. His talent for the game earned him recognition that led to his college baseball career. During the two years that Jo D cared for his mom before she passed away, the two of them spent time singing together and, Jo D said, she introduced him to God. Soon after her death, Jo D signed a contract to play minor league baseball in Louisiana. Alone in a new city, Jo D says he turned to women to fill his loneliness, a choice that led to remorse and the feeling that God was pursuing him.

Jo D left baseball and returned home, where he met and married his wife. After he began writing and performing music again, a manager in Atlanta contacted him about recording R&B music. His involvement in the music industry coincided with his marriage deteriorating.

In what Jo D calls “a pivotal moment,” he fell to his knees and cried out to God.

“I realized I had been religious, but did not have a personal relationship with God,” he said, adding that although he had grown up in church, he had moved away from his faith as a teenager and young adult. “In that moment, I surrendered my life to Christ and asked God to take away everything not pleasing to Him.”

Soon after, Jo D read Matthew 9:11-13 (“For I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners.”) and realized God had a plan for him in which he was to use his musical talents to reflect Christ’s love. God also restored Jo D’s marriage.

CLAY CROSSE’S NEW SINGLE AVAILABLE AT iTUNES ON GOOD FRIDAY

‘Streets of Capernaum’ Debuts at No. 1 at Christian Radio

April 11, 2017 (Springdale, Ark.) – “Streets of Capernaum,” a new song from multi-Dove Award winner Clay Crosse, will be available at iTunes and all digital retailers on Good Friday. The single, written by Crosse, is Crosse’s first new music since the songs from the 2013 album titled “reDedication.” After going for adds April 4 to Christian INSPO/Soft AC and Christian AC radio outlets, the single debuted at No. 1 at ChristianRadioChart.com with 881 radio outlets worldwide.

The new song ponders Jesus’ possible nostalgia about the time He spent in Capernaum during the peak of His earthly ministry.

“I am a nostalgic person,” Crosse said. “I listen to music and watch TV shows from the 70s and I own a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, all for the simple reason that those things take me back to an early time in my life. When I’m back in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, I sometimes drive around the old places from my youth: the church we used to attend, the schools I went to and places I would hang out with friends, the baseball fields where I played as a child. All these things and places stir something up in me that’s very special.

“So I wonder, since I’m created in the image of God, does He also have feelings of nostalgia about his experiences throughout history?” Crosse said. “I wrote the song “Streets of Capernaum” with hopes that it would stir such feelings in my Lord, Jesus. He spent much of his time in that little fishing town and I’m sure He made many friends and has special memories from that season of His life on earth. I hope the song honors Him and brings Him joy.”

In addition to sharing his songwriting talent, Crosse shares another talent with the new single release. For the first time, Crosse uses one of his own paintings as the cover art on a project. “Streets of Capernaum” features Crosse’s folk art painting of Jesus in front of the backdrop of Capernaum.

“Streets of Capernaum” was produced by Sean Hill at Uphill Studios and released by INOV8 Music Group.

Crosse, a veteran Contemporary Christian music artist, has released 10 albums during his career and received four Dove Awards. The musician released his first album, “My Place is With You,” in 1994, which yielded the chart-topping single “I Surrender All.” That same year, Crosse was named “New Artist of the Year” by the Gospel Music Association. Nine singles, including “I Surrender All,” He Walked a Mile” and “Saving the World,” have been No. 1 hits for Crosse. He also collaborated with Bob Carlisle and BeBe Winans on “I Will Follow Christ,” which won a Dove Award for “Inspirational Song of the Year.”

In recent years, Crosse has served as worship pastor for The Love of Christ Community Church in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, with senior pastor, the late Dana Key (of the Christian Rock group Degarmo and Key). He now serves as music pastor at First Baptist Church, Bentonville, Arkansas. Crosse continues to sing and lead worship at events nationwide. In addition to his music career, Crosse and his wife, Renee, lead their ministry, HolyHomes, and speak at marriage events nationwide. Clay and Renee Crosse, who have been married since 1990, have four children.
