New Music Produced by Jars of Clay’s Matthew Odmark
February 15, 2017 (Springdale, Ark.) – Singer/songwriter Janet Blair marks her radio debut with today’s release of “Eternity Grows,” produced by Jars of Clay guitarist, Matthew Odmark. The single, which is going for adds to Christian INSPO/Soft AC and Christian AC radio, is from Blair’s CD, “Songs for the Waiting,” set to release on April 7th.
After the unexpected death of a friend’s child, God radically changed the direction of singer-songwriter Janet Blair’s path. Blair recalls, “I was overwhelmed with hopelessness, when at 2:00 AM, God reminded me of where my hope lies. He gave me a song, so I got out of bed, sat down at my piano, and wrote it out—my unexpected, unasked-for first song.”
Although Blair was new to songwriting, more songs followed, until Blair eventually found herself with a collection of new music that melds her career as a classically-trained oboist with her pop-influenced, piano-based songwriting. The result is music that explores darkness and light, tragedy and triumph, and from the mundane to the eternal.
Through networking with other songwriters and musicians, Blair met Odmark and then recruited him to produce the new project. In turn, Odmark called on his own network of friends, including genre-jumping string arranger, Avery Bright, instrumentalists Paul Eckberg and Matt Nelson, and Jars of Clay bandmates, Charlie Lowell and Stephen Mason, to collaborate in the studio.
The 10 tracks on “Songs for the Waiting” were recorded over a three-week period at Nashville, Tennessee’s Gray Matters Studio. Blair accompanied her vocals with an upright piano, and Odmark added in layers of cello, guitar, brass and percussion to produce a moving, melodic album about finding peace in the tension of life while waiting for God’s redemption.

‘Impact’ Being Serviced to Christian Rock and Christian CHR Stations
October 11, 2016 (Springdale, Ark.) – East Texas band Strangers&Heroes is set to release its debut single, “Impact”, today to Christian rock and Christian CHR-formatted radio stations.
Strangers&Heroes, hailing from Crockett, Texas, features lifelong friends Emily Carden, Brent Price, Jr., and Stephen Bobbitt, along with brothers Chase Wells and Clay Wells. The new single was written by Bobbitt, Price, and Carden.
“Our dream is for our music to have a broader audience on Christian radio,” Carden said. “The prayer is that our music will touch people’s lives, and that they will know the love of Christ.”
The band, whose music has been compared to the likes of Skillet, Flyleaf, Switchfoot, and Thousand Foot Krutch, signed with McLaughlin Music Group for development and management in May 2016.
Every story has a beginning. For the members of Strangers&Heroes, the story began in infancy. From attending the same Sunday School classes to swimming in dirty ponds together, it was always easy to see that Bobbitt, Carden and Price were best friends in every way. Though they often sang together on their front porches, surrounded by their friends and family, being in a band had never been their plan. At least, it wasn’t, until they were encouraged to sing in more public settings. It was at that time that their musical careers began, although the path took an unexpected turn for the alternative rock band.
“At first we were singing Southern Gospel music, because that is what we grew up hearing in church,” said Carden. “However, as time passed, our own individual styles began to mold and shape our music, and we began to take on a Christian rock influence.”
After several years of being a band of three, the trio realized that they needed to add a few new faces to accomplish the vision God had given them. A number of musicians performed off and on with the band, until Chase Wells and Clay Wells met the members of Strangers&Heroes at a Battle-of-the-Bands event. Both excellent musicians, the brothers saw and shared the vision of the group and soon became permanent band members.
With encouragement from spouses and families, Strangers&Heroes has been able to continue to pursue the dream and calling God has laid on each of the band members’ hearts.
The name of their band describes what their calling is all about: Strangers&Heroes stands for those who have yet to come in contact with the Gospel – the strangers – and those who are on the mission of spreading that Gospel to a lost world – the heroes.

Nashville, TN (August 23, 2016) – This month, Christian singer Scott MacIntyre and wife Christina released a special video to fans of never-before-seen wedding footage in honor of their fifth wedding anniversary. The montage is appropriately set to the tune of “With This Ring,” an emotional track from MacIntyre’s latest album Lighthouse which features fellow American Idol alum Skylar Laine. The song is available on iTunes.
“I started writing the song while Christina and I were dating and I was away on tour in Japan,” says MacIntyre. “It’s cool to have written it before we were engaged and now to be able to listen to it while looking back.”
Blind from birth with only a two percent field of vision, MacIntyre surprisingly says he especially enjoys being able to re-watch his marriage to his bride.
“My field of vision is so small that I’m not able to see much of what’s going on around me visually. But when I can look at a video or photo on a small screen several times, I can slowly get more of a picture of things. Even five years later, seeing Christina in her wedding dress, even just a small part, still melts my heart.”
The couple announced in April that they are expecting their first baby in the fall and have been posting photos of the pregnancy intermittently on MacIntyre’s Facebook page – http://www.facebook.com/ScottMacOfficial .
Song Titled ‘Sticks & Stones’ Released Amid Wife’s Cancer Battle
June 28, 2016 (Springdale, Ark.) – Husband and wife duo Inspiration Worship, whose artist name was inspired by the wife’s cancer diagnosis, announces today’s release of “Sticks & Stones” from the group’s five-song EP titled “Whose.” The uptempo song is going for adds at Christian INSPO/Soft AC, Christian AC, and Christian CHR/Hot AC Christian-formatted radio stations.
“’Sticks & Stones’ is based on James 1:12, which says ‘blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.’ Our hope,” says Linda Doane, who co-wrote the song with her husband, Tom, “is people understand that God has already won the war and we are fully equipped for every battle.”
In December 2011, Linda Doane went to the doctor because she was having difficulty breathing. After six weeks of numerous tests, including seven lung taps, she was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and began chemotherapy.
“After that experience,” Doane said, “we understand that every breath truly is a gift. So ‘inspiration,’ which means a single inhale, is the breath of God giving us life and ‘worship’ is our exhale of gratitude back to Him.”
Three years after her first diagnosis and treatment, Doane was re-diagnosed with cancer and has endured additional chemotherapy.
“Our desire to share the Good News was impossible to ignore,” she said, referring to the making of the EP. “We pray these songs move you as they have moved us.”
The Doanes, who wrote all of the songs on “Whose,” co-produced the EP with Clement Ducasse.

“Wildfire” is one of ten songs on “In The River.” A video for the debut single, available on YouTube, features the names of the band members’ friends who are missionaries.
